• Oppose - the annual report released just weeks ago https://www.nab.com.au/content/dam/nabrwd/documents/reports/corporate/2018-annual-financial-report.pdf still heavily references the business as MLC Limited. Oddly, if you go to their media page https://www.mlc.com.au/personal/nav_footer/media-centre, and scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see this interesting text:

MLC Limited uses the MLC brand under licence. MLC Limited is a part of the Nippon Life Insurance Group and not part of the NAB Group of Companies.

:If you read the report (just browser search for MLC - no need to read it all), you'll also see that the bank is trying to spin off MLC. Not sure how this all sorts out, but it seems that MLC may be trying to get away from the licensing deal. Perhaps the nominator can help clarify. Regardless, this could all be much easier if we just changed the name to MLC except that's already used for the disambiguation page. So, I propose we keep as MLC Limited until something changes and can be sourced. At that point, we can look at changing the name to something like MLC (financial services) or MLC (investments). I don't see anything that supports the name MLC Australia, but if that's the intended new name, we also have to wait until there's sourcing to substantiate. • For - the MLC brand in Australia is shared by 2 separate companies: MLC Life Insurance (registered company name MLC Limited) and MLC Investments, Advice and Super (owned by NAB). Therefore MLC Australia is used to refer to all MLC products and services. Note that Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are all named MLC Australia

• Oppose. No case to answer in terms of our article naming policy; The evidence offered is all primary sources. I note that both proponents are SPAs with neither user nor user talk pages. I have asked both about some issues this raises.
