Commissioner of Baseball (caps or lowercase)

@Oknazevad Under Organizational structure, the link title is commissioner of baseball (lowercase), which matches the first sentence of the latter article. So, if it's the title of the office, then shouldn't the latter article be capitalized too?

By the way, I find it interesting that Commissioner of Baseball (NPB) is all caps. Assadzadeh (talk) 03:22, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

Discussion regarding including capitalization of "Major League Baseball" pre-2000 (when it wasn't yet a legal organization)

There is an ongoing discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Baseball regarding the capitalization of "Major League Baseball" when it is being used in pre-2000 season pages ({{mlby|1876}} to {{mlby|1999}}), as well as whether "Major League" in Timeline of Major League Baseball in the pre-2000 tables should be capitalized or not.

There is currently a mixture of "major league baseball", "Major League baseball", and "Major League Baseball" in these pages, so a consensus needs to be reached.
