Whats with the ethnic tab?
Latino? Caucasian? Shouldn’t nationalities or ethnic groups be used? This isn’t the USA. DirkjanenBert (talk) 19:03, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
:Latino is obviously ridiculous, as is distinguishing Spanish from White in this context. That said, it should list whatever the categories were on the actual census the country used, even if those were nonsensically borrowed from the US. — LlywelynII 03:26, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
::What does the source say, i.e. Malta's official census? Got a link to that? Ryanisvibing (talk) 09:51, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

::::It does say latino and stuff… but only for the “racial” category. Theres also a chapter on actual national heritage listing citizenship like british or italian (which is arguably much more useful) and a broader chart just differantiating Maltese and non Maltese. I think either of the latter two are more informative and should be used instead in the article. DirkjanenBert (talk) 20:00, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
:Thought this too. Ryanisvibing (talk) 09:50, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
Eh... what?
What does this article imagine the difference is between "Sources", "Attribution", and "Bibliography"? Figure out which name applies best to all of them and use that. — LlywelynII 08:04, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
Carthaginian control
Obviously the whole Punic Era is apparently a mess but History of Malta and its sources currently say that Carthage took over by the mid 6th century whereas this article and its sources claim it was the late 4th century. — LlywelynII 08:12, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
Category:City-states?
The text here has three sources calling Malta a city-state. Should we consider adding it to the relevant Category?
165.23.203.13 (talk) 13:49, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
:No, Malta does not meet the definition as it has not just one city (and Valletta is a small city in terms of population). It also has a decently sized rural/agricultural country unlike Singapore. Traumnovelle (talk) 07:13, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
Declaration of rights
Did Britain agree to these rights or not? This is important information but is currently lacking. Traumnovelle (talk) 07:11, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
Prehistory
"To arrive on Malta, these hunter-gatherers had to cross around 100 km of open water, documenting the longest yet-known sea crossing by hunter-gatherers in the Mediterranean."
The Latnija Cave article states that there was evidence of inhabitation 8,500 years ago. At that time, Malta and Sicily were likely still connected by a land bridge (or relatively short stretches of water).
Today, sea levels are ~20m higher (sea level + isostatic rebound) than 6,500 years ago. While there would still be a long stretch of open water, it's likely that it would have been less than the 100km quoted in the article. KidTempo (talk) 14:46, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
