Notability

I've added references to two articles by Bay Windows, a source that most certainly counts as "third party" and not a primary source. This should go a long way to establish the notability of the article. Also, it is the leading South Asian queer organization in all of New England, a major region of the US. The result of the proposal was moved to Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association. --BDD (talk) 19:45, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

:MASALA (Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association) → {{no redirect|MASALA}} – Title–acronym repetition should be avoided per WP:TITLEFORMAT even if it is the official name, which it likely isn't. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 08:01, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

  • Oppose requesters proposal but support move to Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association. Of the links on that page that actually work [http://www.edgeboston.com/news/local/features/139005/diwali_brings_together_boston%E2%80%99s_south_asian_lgbts] Also celebrating Diwali is the Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association, or MASALA, a Boston-based organization for Queer identifying South Asians. [http://www.lokvani.com/lokvani/article.php?article_id=2025] Celebrating its 10th anniversary, MASALA (Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association) announces the Satrang Mla (Rainbow Festival) it is unclear what the official name of this organization is and I don't see the benefit of moving to a less clear title, one that is needlessly too similar to Masala. I also question the notability of this organization but that's another issue. Zarcadia (talk) 21:20, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

::I'd be OK with that. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 20:22, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
