Wrongly?

Season 1 synopsis states: "The winner was I.T. office manager Julie Goodwin, who wrongly defeated Poh Ling Yeow."

Is this vandalism or is there more to this? I'll take silence as vandalism confirmation. HappyGod (talk) 12:10, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

:I've removed the word wrongly as described above.HappyGod (talk) 06:21, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

Themesong

Can someone tell me the name of the theme of MCA. I remember hearing it on the ads before it came on air, and my mate says its from some old movie, can anyone clear this up for me Nath1991 (talk) 20:58, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

It's Hot'N'Cold by Katy Perry :) Sturgeonslaw (talk) 07:17, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, and you can see my own take on it; [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzXYltAakPo The MasterChef Song (Cold N' Old), Youtube] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.90.230.31 (talk) 08:16, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Are you sure about that? I've been watching Season 2 on TV, and the theme sounds nothing like Hot n' Cold. 59.177.72.239 (talk) 14:44, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Episode info

Should the episode info contain so much detail (badly written)? Previous user removed, but they've since popped back in. Lapis (talk) 12:16, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

:I don't think it should, at least in the table's current form. Point summaries, as it was previously are better suited than trying to cram in a lengthy synopsis for each episode. Misterkillboy (talk) 15:23, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

::I adjusted the table dimensions so they don't look like an eyesore. The whole Season 1 section will probably be split into its own page (a la the So You Think You Can Dance Australia seasons) once the show is over for the year.Misterkillboy (talk) 08:46, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Sections required

Can someone please make sections for Challenge Night, Pressure Test, Celebrity Chef Challenge, Team Elimination Challenge and Eliminations. The episode section is starting to become a summary already. 115.64.53.181 (talk) 13:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Especially in Mexico

The text says that MasterChef Australia is "widely watched worldwide, especially in Mexico and Australia". I live in Mexico, and I can't say I've seen anything at all to confirm that it is widely watched especially in Mexico. Is there any information that shows that this is the case? I have seen no advertising, neither on TV nor on billboards, buses or bus stops, concerning this TV show. Furthermore, the section called "International Syndications" does not even mention Mexico as a country which broadcasts the show. Neither does it mention if a particular cable network broadcasts the program in Mexico; however, I have never seen it advertised on the popular cable channels which run other cooking programs such as Top Chef and Iron Chef.

My suggestion would be to remove the phrase "especially in Mexico and Australia". It seems obvious and a bit redundant from other statistics in the entry that it is widely watched in Australia, and in addition there appears to be no evidence it is widely watched in Mexico. However, from the list of international syndications, it looks as though it is broadcast in a number of other countries, which justifies the first part of the statement that it is "widely watched worldwide".

Correction: edit summary at 21:00, 9 May 2014 (Australian eastern time) wrong

Note: The edit summary dated 21:00, 9 May 2014 (Australian eastern time) reads "fixed date/episode error. Last show for the week was aired on Thursday 8 May 2014, not Friday 10 May 2014". Friday 10 May 2014, should read Friday 9 May 2014. Apologies. Melbourne3163 (talk) 11:17, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

dangerous practices

The show has numerous and repeated examples of bad kitchen practices-

No hand washing

Wearing aprons away from cooking areas

Continuing to work whilst injured

Worst of all - running in the kitchen. 90.249.6.186 (talk) 18:30, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
