Matt King and being an MP

Hey,

I was just going to add a bit about King not dropping MP from his social media accounts. I see that it was attempted and rejected.

Any thoughts on how this issue might be handled?

:Has this been reported by reputable media companies (e.g. Stuff, NZME, RNZ, Spinoff, or any other serious outfit)? If the answer is yes, it could be considered for inclusion. If not, you are out of luck because Wikipedia reports what is being stated in reliable sources. Original research is a no-no. Schwede66 02:58, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

:What King is putting on Twitter as his bio/tagline is:

::Former, policeman, detective, small business owner and MP for Northland. Current farmer, proud husband, and dad.

:It's a little bit difficult to parse, but he's listing his former occupations first, then in the second sentence he's listing his current occupations. There's no claim that he's a current MP. You are misunderstanding what he's written.-gadfium 08:26, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

::My view as a private person is that he should change his Twitter handle and remove "MP" from it. My view as a Wikipedia editor is stated above. Schwede66 02:11, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
