Formulas need definition of variables and their dimensionality

It's customary that h is the channel, but it would be very worth noting which dimension it has – is it a row, or a column vector, or does the mechanism work for channels that are *not* representable by a single tap, too?

Same, even more so, goes for s, which is probably the transmitted signal, but I'm not even sure about that, here.

Inversely proportional to mean square noise level?
