Is this article intended for the region or township? If the region, then it should be moved to simply McLaren Vale.--cj | talk 11:39, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

:I think that with the recent addition of information, it should now be split. According to the established naming, McLaren Vale (or McLaren Vale wine region) would be about the wine region, and McLaren Vale, South Australia about the town. --Scott Davis ^Talk 13:13, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

A big chunk of the article is just a listing of wine varieties. some of the descriptions have no or minimal reference to the area. Is there any compelling reason to keep these? --Pete (talk) 10:41, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
