The result of the move request was: Procedural Close. As suggested below, I am procedurally closing this RM discussion as the original rationale for the move no longer stands. No prejudice against a new RM discussion with a relevant rationale. (closed by non-admin page mover) Jack Frost (talk) 06:23, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

– Main article Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was renamed from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Santiago Claudio (talk) 12:15, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

:*Support moving to "Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania" per MOS:Dash and nom. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 18:15, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

  • Oppose for now on a procedural basis. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern article was moved without discussion, and there is an ongoing discussion there that may end in it being moved back. The title of that article needs to be at a title agreed by discussion first before all these articles are moved. Cheers, Number 57 09:48, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Although there wasn't a formal RM, there was some discussion. Please see Talk:Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania#Title: Why the German Name?. — BarrelProof (talk) 13:50, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Support with a a hyphen. ‘Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’ has become the name used on Wikipedia. Ale3353 (talk) 11:21, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose. The move was not discussed and is not uncontroversial. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:52, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Comment I restored Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to the old title, without prejudice against a new RM. That title stood from 2007, and it's not kosher that an editor moves it unilaterally without notifying anyone, requiring in a landslide of moves such as this one. • As long as the other article remains at {{-r|Mecklenburg-Vorpommern}} this RM seems moot and should be speedy closed, since the rationale has evaporated. So far, no one has filed a new RM for that page. If someone wants to file another RM, the wole batch should be combined into it. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:01, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose as the main article move that this proposal relied on has been undone. And [https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=Mecklenburg-Western+Pomerania%2CMecklenburg-Vorpommern&year_start=1940&year_end=2019&corpus=26&smoothing=3 in English-language books], the Vorpommern name is more common. What needs fixing is that the hyphen should be an en dash. Dicklyon (talk) 02:15, 31 October 2021 (UTC)
