Talk:Meez

Hello. I appreciate feedback on the Meez page I recently submitted, but need help understanding why it doesn't meet Wikipedia's standards. I've tried to emulate the pages for several other services that are similar to Meez (IMVU, Habbo Hotel for example). I don't see how the Meez content is different -- other than I haven't added visuals yet. Maybe someone can help?

The main problem with this aritcle is that it doesn't pass Wikipedia's notability guidelines for websites (see WP:WEB). Some Google research tells me that it's only been available for a few months. The other sites you mention have been around for longer than that. There also isn't that much objective information available about Meez- most of it is small blog posts or official press releases. There is a [http://www.forbes.com/digitalentertainment/2006/03/27/aol-yahoo-chat-cx_rr_0328meez.html Forbes article] about it, which may indeed make this site notable enough, as long as the article actually references that article.

Beyond that, it would be best if the article discusses why the site is important, instead of just what it offers. Talking about site features without bringing up why they're important tends to make articles sound more like ads. Hope that helps. --Several Times 19:42, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
