Wild Party

I deleted the extended section on The Wild Party.

A) It was very badly written, riddled with spelling errors.

B) There's no reason to single it out among his shows to have an extended section in MJL's entry - I'm not opposed to its having its own entry, though.

C) The last paragraph in the section was a decided violation of NPOV.

Lists of Works

The article is very listy. Are all of these works of importance? I wouldn't list them unless they were performed multiple times or at a major venue. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:12, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

::Delete as you see fit. It's very hard to tell how often any of these were done past the intital production (or whatever). I would leave the Houston Opera & some of the other operas, as they were commissioned. I do not see the harm in keeping the article as it is, but should others not think it is important to show his body of work and long-long working in various venues & mediums, so be it. Importance sometimes is not in the individual item but in the accumulation of work product. Importance may not attach to one piece, but importance may be seen in continuing working relationships, (say, with Joes Pub or Audra or the Signature Theatre or Jeffrey Essmann.) I will retire from this artcle now, I've spent enough time on it. JeanColumbia (talk) 00:34, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

OK, I just deleted the one item that was a single song and didn't seem notable. Any other items that are important to his career should be described in narrative prose in the body of the article. Nice job getting all the references. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:53, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
