A similar expression, "Mystical Body of the Church", is used in the [https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10663a.htm Catholic Encyclopedia] to refer to the concept. The expression is also used by E. Orthodox, e.g. [https://www.oca.org/orthodoxy/the-orthodox-faith/doctrine-scripture/the-symbol-of-faith/church here], [https://orthodoxwiki.org/Ecclesiology here], [http://orthodoxinfo.com/general/stjohn_church.aspx here], [https://www.goarch.org/-/the-canonical-tradition-of-the-orthodox-church here].
