{{Tmbox | type = content| text = The sentence "It would be funded partly by reducing the defense budget while US troops would withdraw from Iraq.[2]" is a quote from a campaign speech. The text of the proposed legislation Section 203 subsection (f) states "Not more than 1 percent of funds resulting from the issuance of bonds under this Act may be used to fund the operations of the Bank." While the use of the word "may" in S. 1926 is odd, it appears that the intent of the bill's authors is to fund the Bank's operation from the proceeds of the issued bonds -- not to exceed 1%. If true, then the funding of the bank operations would be independent from all other Federal budget items, including defense spending. The actual text of the proposed legislation should be accepted as more authoritative than campaign rhetoric. OklahomaCougar (talk) 04:31, 14 November 2008 (UTC) }}

{{Tmbox | type = content | text = Given no discussion I have edited the item to remove the reference to the defense budget and insert the language of the proposed legislation. OklahomaCougar (talk) 16:28, 17 November 2008 (UTC)}}

{{Tmbox | type = content | text = The sentence "Thus, the facility presumably would legally be able to disburse funds allocated to it by Congress, in the same way that any other Department distributes funds appropriated to it by budget laws." is a conclusion which appears to violate Wikipedia policy regarding neutral POV and verifiability. If no reference is provided for this comment it should be deleted in its entirety. OklahomaCougar (talk) 21:03, 27 March 2010 (UTC)}}

{{Tmbox | type = content | text = The sentence "Obama proposed the Bank as part of his $210 billion economic stimulus package." appears to violate Wikipedia policy regarding verifiability. If no reference is provided for this comment it should be deleted in its entirety. OklahomaCougar (talk) 21:11, 27 March 2010 (UTC)}}

{{Tmbox | type = content | text = The sentence "Examples of existing state-owned Banks with a mandate to develop infrastructure include BNDES in Brazil, Banobras in Mexico, and KfW in Germany." was deleted because it is irrelevant to the proposed legislation. Broken Links

It appears that the link at Footnote #1 might be broken. I got the following, when I tried to bring it up:

Error 503 Service Unavailable

Service Unavailable

Guru Meditation:

XID: 537505337

Varnish cache server

My reason for suggesting it's "broken" is the error text itself, especially that "Guru Meditation" is off-topic from the text around Footnote 1.

Thank you.
