Sabbateans

In the infobox is written, that Sabbateans are Islamic schismatics, but Sabbateans were originally a Jewish messianic movement, not an Islamic schismatic group. Dr. Ivan Kučera (talk) 07:12, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

:Maybe teh were. But the RS seems to say they are now Muslim. Slatersteven (talk) 11:28, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

::Well, it's more complicated than that, if you look at Sabbateans and Dönmeh. They were and are crypto-Jews; calling them Islamic schismatics needs a heck of a lot more explanation. The Dönmeh sure have an interesting history. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:45, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

:::As this is the infobox, that is not the place for complex issues. Slatersteven (talk) 15:48, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

Move request and RfC

There is a move request and a related related RfC at the Besor Stream article that could do with more input. Thanks. M.Bitton (talk) 15:51, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

Lead

@3602kiva, your copyedits to the lead are superfluous non-improvements to my eyes, please self-revert them. Given you seem to have just crossed the 500 edit threshold required to edit I–P articles, please understand that these sections of these articles are often written the way they are for good reason, and you haven't explained any specific explanation for your changes. Remsense 🌈  21:08, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

:Hi @Remsense, thanks for your message requesting that I self-revert.

:I made an edit to clarify the borders for better reader understanding. I also added the term 'de facto' to describe Ramallah's status, as this is a fact used consistently on other Wikipedia pages. I did not feel like it was a superfluous edit...perhaps a inconsequential, noncontroversial edit at most.

:To respect the 1RR process, I will leave the edit as is. If a different editor, acting independently, believes it should be reverted, or if you find this edit so egregious you wish to revert it in 24 hours, feel free to do so.

:Take care,

:3602kiva (talk) 21:54, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

::In retrospect, @Remsense, I realize that I could have worded this a bit more respectfully, especially as a novice editor. I have the utmost respect for all the work you do on Wikipedia, and by no means did I intend to disrespect you or your opinion.

::Take care,

::3602kiva (talk) 22:27, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
