Id like to add that in my laguage Albanian (Shqip) we say pjergulla, to name the vineyard style, as it stays upon pilars and a grid of metal as it grows and became as a roof above the garden of the house.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jondreify (talk • contribs)

The origin of the word is the Late Latin pergula, referring to a projecting eave. As a type of gazebo, it may also be an extension of a building or serve as protection for an open terrace or a link between pavilions. They are different from Green tunnels.
