|quote = For example, Pete Hegseth’s original Wikipedia entry prominently displayed the eight medals the US Army combat veteran received for actions on the battlefield, along with their icons. After Trump announced Hegseth as his choice for defense secretary, Wikipedia editors erased three of the medals from the former infantry officer’s main “infobox” and stripped out every icon, drastically reducing the amount of space devoted to his military achievements — a whole new form of stolen valor.

To add to article

Shouldn't we add information to the text of this article about Pete Hegseth's younger brother, Philip Hegseth, who, as of early 2025, has been serving in a key role as liaison and senior adviser inside the Pentagon (potentially violating the U.S.'s 1967 Federal Anti-Nepotism Statute)? 98.123.38.211 (talk) 19:32, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

"Enlisted"

You don't enlist as an officer. The article keeps mentioning he enlisted. Officers do not enlist. Only enlisted members enlisted. You either have enlisted or officer. But one cannot be both at the same time. 2600:1700:5170:F440:FDA4:4D6B:193:2DD9 (talk) 14:01, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

Intro starts with television presenter

Why would they start the intro with television presenter? You normally order things in precedence of importance. It’s like Obama’s wiki saying “Lawyer, former senator, former president”. Come on wikipedia editors get it together. Stop trying to minimize peoples especially those in important positions. 2605:59C0:16E:7310:886C:FD03:6ED:3D2C (talk) 06:56, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

:His television role is now more clearly "former". —ADavidB 12:50, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

I agree, Enix150 , I came to see if the word "drink" was even on the page. It should be added that there are indications of him having a drinking problem.--Wuerzele (talk) 05:43, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

Tisdale article

I see WP:DISTRACTIFY says that Distractify is a "generally unreliable" source, especially in BLP articles, but is this not overruled when the claims are endorsed by a reliable source like MSN reposting the article?{{cite news|author=Jennifer Tisdale|title=Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's Nickname Is Now Whiskeyleaks — What a Time to Be Alive|work=Distractify|url=https://www.distractify.com/p/whiskeyleaks-meaning|url-status=live|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250326201045/https://www.distractify.com/p/whiskeyleaks-meaning|archive-date=March 26, 2025|date=2025-03-26|access-date=March 30, 2025}}{{cite news|author=Jennifer Tisdale|title=Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's Nickname Is Now Whiskeyleaks — What a Time to Be Alive|work=MSN|url=https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/secretary-of-defense-pete-hegseths-nickname-is-now-whiskeyleaks-what-a-time-to-be-alive/ar-AA1BHO8I|url-status=live|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250331001751/https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/secretary-of-defense-pete-hegseths-nickname-is-now-whiskeyleaks-what-a-time-to-be-alive/ar-AA1BHO8I|archive-date=March 31, 2025|date=2025-03-27|access-date=March 30, 2025}}

:No, it is not, because the issue is not the source, it is the content. MSN is not a reliable source, but rather an aggregator. As for your section, it is getting deleted because the information presented is already in the article and it does not need to be a separate section. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 20:11, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

Hegseth was in charge of and responsible for purging military libraries of hundreds of book titles. https://www.cpr.org/2025/04/15/army-and-air-force-libraries-are-ordered-to-review-books-for-dei-material/ 128.198.70.148 (talk) 16:40, 16 April 2025 (UTC)

The page doesn't include any information about Pete Hegseth's alcoholism or the fact that he is a textbook DEI hire that is in no way qualified for his job as Secretary of Defense. 71.244.188.110 (talk) 16:19, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

The sentence "Pete Hegseth was sworn is as secretary of defense..." should be "Pete Hegseth was sworn in as secretary of defense...". The verbal phrase "sworn in" is wrong. NukaJack (talk) 15:19, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

Deputy infobox

Can someone please remove Robert G. Salesses' name from the "deputy" section of the infobox? He was an acting deputy secretary, so his name shouldn't be there. JorgeBenJorge (talk) 22:20, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
