Add section on Lax's mathematical results?

I put in a paragraph in the article about the "Lax conjecture". Perhaps someone else could put in a brief summary of important mathematical results due to Lax, especially theorems, etc., which are named after him. Perhaps this could be one section of the article. In particular, seems to me it would be good if the "see also" links could be incorportated, with a brief description, into this section of the article itself. What I gather about Wikipedia policy/culture is that an informative sentence on noteworthy matters with links in it is preferred over a list of links. Anyone wanna confirm, am I right about that? :Wow, this question was asked nearly 17 years ago, and no one has yet added the section, which is clearly necessary. I wish had the competence to do so. I might attempt it, but an analyst would do a better job.

is?

I think he died today, shouldn't this be reflected in the article? The source is [https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/16/science/peter-lax-dead.html New York Times]. ELSchissel (talk) 23:29, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
