Drugs campaign
How is Peter Ueberroth's campaign against drugs "highly successful" much less "vigilant"? A capsule history of Ueberroth's time as Commissioner w/r/t drugs: inherits an agreemet with the players which allows punishment if caught red handed with illegal drugs, and allows subsequent testing for life, punishment by the Commissioner, all of which were tightly focused on recreational drugs. Ueberroth then attempted to impose mandatory testing, had that thrown out, suggested players volunteer for testing, didn't get that, then in 1986 declared baseball didn't have a drug problem and moved on to other issues. The most he did was suspend a set of prominent players who were named in a cocaine trial. Ueberroth did nothing about the start and rise of steroid abuse during his years, creating a problem that would fester for years, and his poor handling of the drug issue with the union ruled out compromise on the issue for fifteen years.

Quality
This looks like a C article. Every major aspect of his life seems to have been touched on, need sources and more in-depth coverage (especially the non-baseball subjects) Aaron north (talk) 01:41, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
