JWST will do this for mirror segment alignment

JWST will be doing phase retrieval as part of the telescope mirror segment alignment process (active optics with wavefront sensing and control).https://archive.ph/20120805213402/http://www.stsci.edu/jwst/ote/wavefront-sensing-and-control Has it been done on other astronomical telescopes, or is it only useful or required on multi-segment mirrors ? - Rod57 (talk) 10:26, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
