Eggs
Re previous edit summary by Zappernapper back in December regarding lack of evidence that the Polynesian Rat eats bird eggs. This is well documented in New Zealand. See for instance this reference to its predation of [http://www.kakaporecovery.org.nz/news/release_970307.html Kākāpō eggs] and this reference to its predation of [http://www.notornis.org.nz/abstract.php?volume_issue=n43_3&first_page=147 Shearwater eggs] on offshore islands of Northern New Zealand. Range map
I am not sure of the purpose of a range map showing only part of their range? Is this perhaps their original distribution before spread by humans? Either the map should be removed or modified, or description elaborated. A source for the data used would help. --Tony Wills (talk) 00:01, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
