District?
The Postcode_district section here defines the postcode district as the end of the out code (e.g. the 19 in SW19).
The List of postcode districts ... page equates the "district" with the complete out code (e.g. SW19).

Potential use of AI
Merger proposal
The Postcode lottery article, despite its hatnote claim, contains a negligible amount of information about the disparity in services etc. between different geographic areas and a lot about other (non-postal) uses of postcodes. :Oppose as stated, but I think that the material not relevant to the topic of Postcode lottery should be deleted or moved; that move, of some of the material, might well be to this page. Merging what's left in Postcode lottery to Unwarranted variation might then be better. Klbrain (talk) 14:38, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
