The definition of "Proportion" as the equality between two ratios is currently duplicated in the articles about Ratio and Proportionality (mathematics); I'd argue it's a sufficiently notable concept to deserve its own article, the present one. fgnievinski (talk) 18:39, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

:This should be merged into ratio, and it should be explained much better by someone who has read enough work by credible math history scholars to not make a hash of it.
