"she is blessed"

HOw relevant is this passage to the article "Although not particularly tall, she is blessed with size 43 feet"? I say delete. M.K. (talk) 11:57, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

:Trivia and not encyclopedic - delete it.--Egghead06 (talk) 12:34, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Her foot size is mentioned in Lithuanian and Russian articles as an important physical feature of Meilutytė since she was 13 years-old. That's why it should be specified. It is also underlined that the girl unfortunately lost her mother when she was only 4 years-old, and that she inherited many of her physical traits from her mum.

:Big hands and feet are an advantage for a swimmer, I thus would keep the mentioning of it in the article but the word "blessed" should be changed to something more neutral and factual, like "has". -- fdewaele, 31 July 2012, 15:52 (CET).

European records

How the European records block should be handled? Now it's a mix between a list of all European records and an updated list of records removing old ones. Should the records be stated as a list of all of them, adding the new one at the bottom, or should the types of records only be updated with new times and places but not with a new row? Because now some of them are repeated (like 100 m (LC)) and some of them are just updated (for example, 50 m (SC)). -- 88.222.69.117 (talk) 20:39, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Allegations by Meilutytė and others against Jon Rudd

BBC's flagship Panorama programme has investigated allegations by Meilutytė and a number of other swimmers - including Cassie Patten - of bullying by coach Jon Rudd, as reported by BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn4gmm2zv8no here. It would be advisable for editors to keep an eye on how this develops, keeping in mind the fine line between appropriate reporting and UK defamation laws, and consistency across the pages for the swimmers involved, given that Rudd himself does not have a page. I will leave a similar message on Patten's page. Nick Cooper (talk) 06:58, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
