Do Not Merge on principle; since the merge box came out of the clear blue, with zero discussion (there wasn't even a talk page for this article until recently, weeks after the merge box showed up), I cannot vote for a merge. Merge I think it should be merged, as, although this "town" has its own details borrowed from real towns, the reality of the town itself is contained entirely within this one movie. -Mewtation 02:49, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge

Some users have been merging the article into the Cars (film) article, which was discussed earlier with a result of Do Not Merge. When they merge the article, it keeps on coming back. I believe that the article should not be merged. A•N•N•A hi! 14:22, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

California vs. Arizona

I thought in the movie it said Radiator Springs was in Arizona, which is what the article says. But the article is categorized as "Fictional towns and cities in California" and is part of Wikiproject California. I'm going to move it to the US category.Squad51 21:43, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Los Angeles International Speedway

I was thinking about what it says about the LAIS (which I realize is from the Pixar Fandom page), and I'm wondering about the evidence for the assertion. The Arroyo Seco/Rose Bowl connection seems beyond dispute. As for the Coliseum, the only distinctive feature I can recognize is the break in the upper ring of the bowl with a flat section. However, in the LAMC, this on an end of the oval, whereas in the LAIS it's along a side. I'm not familiar with the Auto Club Speedway, but at first glance don't recognize anything particularly similar to the animated track. It also seems to me that there is an inspiration missing, as the exterior is somewhat Spanish Mission/Romanesque. A bit like Stanford University. It seems to put me in mind of a horse racing track, maybe Del Mar?
