Reference 155 in Prosecution
The Western Cape government is in South Africa but is citing New Zealand to have “less stringent” limits when the article cited is actually about South Africa. I don’t have a Wikipedia account but can somebody change it to say South Africa or find a NZ source. 103.250.117.165 (talk) 09:27, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
Edit request in introduction
In the sentence "The term rape is sometimes casually inaccurately used interchangeably with the term sexual assault" the word "inaccurately" seems unnecessarily opinionated and contentious and I believe it should be removed. It's an awkward string of adverbs besides. Jujodon (talk) 00:43, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
We should put out the classical imagines
Hello! I think we should really cut out the classic painting because it creates this not-so-serious vibe. These pictures are so beautifully drawn and it's hurt to portray a horrible image (like in real life) of a rape scene. Am I the only one who gets this feeling? I'm serious about this, I hope this didn't come off as stupid, but I just read this whole Wikipedia page and these classical paintings kept me off track, I don't think it is necessary to have them. 2A02:2F00:3006:8300:2065:95EB:9F40:2308 (talk) 23:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
:I don't think we're going to use an image of an actual modern rape. And rape plays a large part in many mythologies. GMGtalk 15:04, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
Request for adding reference to 'History / War' section
There are many references to different cultures and societies whose soldiers have raped civilians of occupied land in the HISTORY / WAR section : Poland is mentioned, Russia, Japan, Germany. I would like to add that there was an incident recently in Israel where 10 Israeli soldiers were arrested for raping Palestinian hostages. This is undeniable, as it was caught on video camera, and Israel officially acknowledged it and defended the accused soldiers which resulted in international headlines.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/8/9/everything-is-legitimate-israeli-leaders-defend-soldiers-accused-of-rape
This information seems pertinent to include here, given that there is an entire wikipedia page documenting sexual abuse of Palestinians by Israelis during the Gaza war.
Sexual and gender-based violence against Palestinians during the Gaza war
However, the page is locked so I am unable to perform an edit. Will a mod please consider adding this info? Fredderf24 (talk) 03:27, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
