Untitled

The Mughal royal residence near New Delhi was built as an octagon and surrounded by deep moat. The water flowed into the moat from the the Yamuna river.

it has two important chambers:

1>Diwan-i-khas;and

2>Diwan-i-aam.

Diwan-i-khas has the very correct writings :

"agar firdaus bar rooe zaminast- haminasto haminasto haminast"

meaning if there is paradise on earth,it is here,it is here, it is here

The above was removed from the front disambiguation page and put here. The material is not appropriate for a disambig but rather for the article about the fort it applies to. Mattisse(talk) 11:50, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

To add or not to add

@Bladesmulti: Bladesmuti I actually undid your edit because you or I may be knowing that on 15 August India achieved independence but all might not be knowing that...so just to be more precise I feel that it should be added there for the convenience of those who are not aware of the date. And if you think that it must not be added there just because there's no citation then I can get a thousand of them and add them there. I hope I was able to put forward my point. Thank you so much Bladesmuti! ^_^ --Tamravidhir (talk) 03:57, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

:Every year on 15 August (the day India achieved independence from the British), can be On every 15 August(Independence day of India). Bladesmulti (talk) 04:09, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

::Probably the date being Independence Day is more important so emphasize that? Every year on Independence Day (15 August)... Or we could drop the date altogether and readers can click the wikilink if they want to know the exact date. --NeilN talk to me 04:23, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

:::To be checked, Every year on Independence Day (15 August) will work. Bladesmulti (talk) 04:28, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

::::Yes the last one will surely work. --Tamravidhir (talk) 04:30, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

:::::So should we lock it? --Tamravidhir (talk) 04:30, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

::::::Yes go ahead. Bladesmulti (talk) 04:40, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

:::::::I have just slightly changed the sentence and now it is something like this - "Every year on the Independence Day of India (15 August) the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag ...". I hope this one's fine. --Tamravidhir (talk) 04:47, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

::::::I think so yes.@ 114.79.138.79 (talk) 16:49, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

{{od}} I'm sorry for spelling your name wrongly Bladesmulti...I kept on writing your name without that "l"...I'm so sorry. --Tamravidhir (talk) 04:49, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

::It is okay. :> Bladesmulti (talk) 05:06, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

:::@Bladesmulti; ^_^...thanks! And I hope that the sentence is also okay. --Tamravidhir (talk) 05:13, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Orphaned references in [[:Red Fort]]

I check pages listed in :Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of :Red Fort's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Change the below line:

In the morning, protestors were forced to divert to smaller streets after police kept the agreed rally routes blocked and shut off access to the city. The onward surge of farmers was met with police brutality.

To :

A group of farmers (Khalistani supporters) did not follow the route earlier agreed and tried force entry to the route leading to red fort. When police tried to stop the mob, the mob of so called farmers attacked the security forces with weapons, due to which more than 300 security officials got injured and some were seriously injured and are admitted in hospital.

It was not as per the route agreed by Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM)—the umbrella body of the farmer unions protesting at the Delhi border—with the Delhi Police to take out the marches.

{{Re|PianoDan}}

I think, we should also distinguish the Qila Rai Pithora because it is also known as Lal Qila.

Botu Yadav (talk) 11:35, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

:That would be an appropriate addition to the Lal Qila (disambiguation) page rather than a hat note on this page, I think. I'll add it over there. PianoDan (talk) 22:15, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Truth About Red fort of Delhi

Delhi's Red Fort, or Lal Qila, is not only an iconic structure but is synonymous with the city. However, much before the Lal Qila, there was another Red Fort in Delhi called Lal Kot, which was built by Anangpal Tomar in the eighth century. It is the original Red Fort of Delhi. 2409:4055:2E1D:6F2A:0:0:1AC9:211 (talk) 17:51, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
