"theological prophecies of future salvation"

I am failing to distinguish two things. one is: "
In fact, for Koselleck modern philosophies were a form of a secularized version of eschatology: that is, theological prophecies of future salvation,"

and the other is a this-worldly claim that some plan is a good plan, and will have good results if it is followed.

It would be good if someone articulated the difference, who knows this material well.
