Only functioning synagogue?
As far as i know, Tempel Synagogue (the reformed synagogue) is the other functioning synagogue in Krakow (see Polish :pl:Czynne synagogi w Polsce) though with no regular religious services. Slawojarek 10:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
:I was in Krakow last week and could not visit the Izaak synagogue because a bar-mitzvah was taking place. So there are at least 3.--84.226.53.181 (talk) 16:57, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
::We should verify this fact. Maybe it is the only one which holds services on a daily basis? Chesdovi (talk) 17:54, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Why Remah Not Remuh?
Everywhere else calls it the Remuh synagogue, and that is, indeed, its Polish name. Not an expert, but would be interested to hear the rationale behind opting for Remah.
Merge from [[Israel ben Josef]]
Israel ben Josef was prodded due to lack of notability other than synagogue. I deprodded it and suggested this merge. Lembit Staan (talk) 20:14, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
: I would suggest that the fac that he founded the synagogue be merged into Remah Synagogue, as proposed, but the information in the "Legend" section should be merged into the Moses Isserles article. Debresser (talk) 19:59, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
::{{u|Lembit Staan}}, Isn't [http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/8340-isserles-moses-ben-israel-rema this] an encyclopedic and lengthy bio about him? If so it would like suffice to make him notable. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:24, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
:::Well, I don't really care about the person. There are 3 times more rabbis in Wikipedia that synagogues. (I am wondering whether we have to write an article for every Polish bishop as well, but I am agnostic, so don't care to deal with them.) My nomination was as merely a formal way to remove the {{tl|prod}} without engaging into notability discussions. Lembit Staan (talk) 19:48, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
::::{{u|Lembit Staan}}, Right, I'd rather see this merged then deleted too. Ping User:Whiteguru who PRODed it in the first place. And who else is interested in historical Polish-Jewish topics... sigh. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:29, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
:Oppose merge proposal; references suggest that he was a well-recognized author, giving him independent notability. Klbrain (talk) 21:51, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
::Closing, given that this objection has been uncontested for over 6 months. Klbrain (talk) 08:57, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
