| quote = On Tuesday [4 March 2014] the group called for supporters to patrol Wikipedia. In a posting on Vkontakte, the Russian equivalent of Facebook, Right Sector wrote: ‘We appeal to people who can make changes to Wikipedia. In the English version (with Russian worse) Right Sector is depicted as an organization that has a fascist and neo-Nazi views, with appropriate consequences. If you have an opportunity - correct this misunderstanding.’
According to Wikipedia’s logs, on Monday the Right Sector entry described the party as having ‘borderline fascist or neo-fascist views.’ On Tuesday the page was modified 174 times, including changes to describe Right Sector as an ‘organization to protect demonstrators’ and a ‘youth patriot organization.’
After the intervention of Wikipedia administrators, the page was locked and reverted to saying that Right Sector was ‘described by major Western newspapers as having far right or neo-fascist views.’

Right wing to far right

I know sources are sources but i think it is weird for like this to be classified as less far right than Forum for democracy, Alternative for Germany or the France 86.115.116.248 (talk) 15:35, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

:I concur. This should be addressed. Imperium Australis (talk) 04:37, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

::yes this should be discussed Braganza (talk) 20:46, 23 November 2024 (UTC)

Definition (Ultra-)Nationalist vs right extremist + Sources

Far-right extremism and ultra-nationalism in a state/region with a questioned nation has to be seperated. The questioned group does share democratic values, equal human rights and does not exxagerate their belief in a nation above another. Also i do not see athoritarian movements, rather the opposite fighting against an authoritarian system. So, logically, it does not qualify as extremist.

The sources in the article lack proper value (no 7 "Die Welt"), there should be some Ukrainian sources (i know these sources exist, but i dont speak Ukrainian), not just news articles of press reporters simply copying and source https://reportingradicalism.org/en/thematic-analyses/defining-the-far-right bases its conclusion on a single Russian source. Which is academically speaken very weak.

To me, the programm reads clearly right-wing, but also clearly within democratic values and missing of above speaken far-right extremism values.

Programm of the group: https://pravyysektor.info/national-development-and-environment-program

"The primacy of the interests of the nation in state-building is the power of the nation in its own state, which is based on organized and solidarity cooperation of all socially useful strata, united in accordance with their social and professionalproduction functions through various forms of direct democracy and in representative bodies of state administration.

The basic principles of nationalocracy are national solidarity (super class and supra-party system), responsible and authoritative elite, effective social lifts, the notion of citizen's duty, public control, self-organization and self-government.

Politically, nationalocracy is a system in which political power belongs to the Ukrainian nation, through its most talented, idealistic and national altruistic representatives capable of ensuring the nation's development, its competitiveness and comprehensive control from the side of the armed national idea and politically structured communities."

"We are fighting for the Ukrainian state, which will most fully contribute to the individual development of each individual and his creative abilities, and will encourage all forms of self-organization of the healthy forces of society." 212.186.42.78 (talk) 18:49, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Economic nationalism

The party program is very protectionist, it should be noted in the Infobox. 2A02:3030:805:17B5:1:0:C66E:BA94 (talk) 13:49, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

Agrarian

Tge party is very concerned about the well-being of the rural farmer-peasant population. Add to Infobox. 2A02:3033:9:3DD5:1:2:4C1F:EA56 (talk) 09:17, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

More designations as terrorists

Belarus and Nicaragua classify the group as terrorists too. 2A02:3030:817:84EF:1:0:6BEE:57CA (talk) 21:14, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

:do you have a source for this? Mhorg (talk) 08:43, 28 July 2023 (UTC)

:::I am afraid that RIA has been defined as unreliable. Mhorg (talk) 15:21, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

::::Currently there is no consensus that it is completely unreliable, but for topics such as this, it is usually propaganda and best avoided. Mellk (talk) 15:30, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

Anti-LGBT

This organization is extremely traditional when it comes to Gay and Trans right. This has been shown by disruptions during Pride parades in Kyiv, earning even some compliments from pro-russian forces.
