Proposed move
I think this article should be moved to Royal Fort House, to make room for an article about the fort that the house is named after. Some info about the Royal Fort can be found [http://www.baras.org.uk/news.php?id=25 here]. Has anyone got any thoughts or objections? — Gasheadsteve Talk to me 21:40, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
:Seems reasonable to me.— Rod talk 21:47, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
::I have no problems with that. Jezhotwells (talk) 18:21, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
OK, I've moved it, and have made a start on sorting through which links to Royal Fort need to change and which should be left pointing there. — Gasheadsteve Talk to me 13:36, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Roger Leach in p18 of Part II of The Topography of Medieval and Early Modern Bristol: Property holdings asserts that the original Royal Fort was demolished in 1655-56. See http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=USRWAAAAYAAJ&lpg=PA54&dq=%22royal%20fort%20house%22&pg=PA18#v=onepage&q=%22royal%20fort%22&f=false. I have therefore changed the date from 1650 to 1655. I've also linked Prince Rupert to the his Wikipedia entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bristol filer (talk • contribs) 11:39, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
