Baby oil
What about the news on the baby oil found in Sean Combs' basement? Should that be included? I'd do it myself but as this article has more strict sourcing guidelines, I just want some clarification before adding it. Tavantius (talk) 17:19, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
:Warrants inclusion as it's been mentioned in multiple reliable sources, and alludes to the freak-offs. --150.143.27.224 (talk) 16:40, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
Combs' initial response to the allegations
Should Sean Combs' initial response to the allegations be included here? This is the one I'm referring to:
"Enough is Enough. For the last couple weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth." 150.143.27.224 (talk) 16:39, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

"Other high-profile celebrity sexual abuse scandals"
Besides maybe R. Kelly, are any of these really relevant to Combs? 147.147.65.157 (talk) 19:48, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

Time to change title?
Greetings, all. The issue has moved definitely beyond mere allegations into a distinct new phase as soon as a trial started. The person on trial is still an alleged violator of the law but he is officially now the defendant. Do we intend to keep the current title even if the defendant is convicted and appeals? Everyone is innocent until finally the courts find them guilty but the current title reflects a situation of the past. Perhaps a new title is in order. Thoughts? -The Gnome (talk) 20:22, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- Agree. Two alternatives are "Sean Combs sexual misconduct cases" and "Sean Combs sex trafficking cases". The latter is what he's on trial for so am leaning towards this title of the two. 87.114.4.246 (talk) 10:48, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::The latter indeed seems more apt. Since the trial began, the title used in most sources is actually "sex trafficking trial." -The Gnome (talk) 04:44, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Trail
we should add trail wintess? by --Sunuraju (talk) 04:01, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
::Trial witnesses, yes, I think so. I'm surprised at how short the #Trial section is considering that the trial has been getting non-stop media coverage since it began. Some1 (talk) 03:08, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:::I agree with you. (Apologies for the brief levity!) Perhaps we should let a few days pass so that the prosecution's witnesses are done and a concise summary can be added. -The Gnome (talk) 11:18, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
RfC on the article's title
{{closed rfc top|result= Re-opening this as a page-move proposal. The Gnome (talk) 17:41, 24 May 2025 (UTC) }}
Almost all sources reporting on the article's subject or commenting about it are referring to it concisely and succinctly as the "Sean Combs trial." This title varies across the sources only on the individual's name, e.g. a media outlet might denote it as the "Diddy trial." (A trivial search unearths a plethora of examples.) Since the whole issue of the accusations for sexual misconduct has moved to its final and decisive judicial phase, and on the basis of WP:V and WP:COMMONNAME, I submit to fellow contributors the obvious question for their comments:
Should the article's title
- A Remain the same?
- B Be changed to Sean Combs trial ?
=Survey=
- The article contains content outside of the May 2025 trial, such as the large section on Civil lawsuits, so I don't think "Sean Combs trial" would work here... I'm not sure what the best article title would be though. Some1 (talk) 12:01, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have removed the {{tlx|rfc}} tag, because this is not an RfC matter. Please follow the directions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 16:01, 24 May 2025 (UTC)

:Sean Combs sexual misconduct allegations → {{no redirect|Sean Combs trial}} – Per WP:V and WP:COMMONNAME. Almost all the sources reporting on the article's subject or commenting about it are referring to it concisely and succinctly as the "Sean Combs trial." That title varies across the sources only on the individual's name, e.g. a media outlet might denote it as the "Diddy trial." Every event prior to the trial, i.e. civil suits, police investigation, media reaction, music business commentary, and so on, is leading up to it. - The Gnome (talk) 18:31, 24 May 2025 (UTC)

- Oppose per {{noping|Some1}}. This article covers more than just the trial. JeffSpaceman (talk) 01:12, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- Support as a trial should be split into a different page, due to WP:COVERAGE. DBrown SPS (talk) 06:21, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: The coverage of the trial is getting is quite significant. There is no major media in the world, in fact, not covering it. And there have already been testimonies worthy of extended inclusion here. So, in terms of properly weighting content size, we are bound to dedicate to the trial substantial amount of coverage on its own. It looks, therefore, we shall soon be faced with the dilemma of either splitting away an article on the trial itself or having it all here in a supersized article. Food for thought. -The Gnome (talk) 11:09, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose The article details his extensively documented and widely publicized legal journey. The trial should be covered in its own article, as should his legal issues overallJ-Majestik (talk) 16:28, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose "Sean Combs sex trafficking case" or "Sean Combs sexual misconduct cases" would be more fitting titles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.114.4.246 (talk) 14:21, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
