Religious denomination

Just checking but Bishop was never referred to as a Congregationalist correct? --KAVEBEAR (talk) 02:33, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

:Not sure. I want to expand more on his religious contributions. He was a trustee of [http://www.pinkdragon.com/CUC_2003/who_we_are/history-of-CUC.shtml Bethel Union Church] in Honolulu, but not sure what denomination that was. It seemed to be a prominent church in Hawaii, where many of the high-profile names in conservative Christianity could be found. — Maile (talk) 12:46, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

::{{u|KAVEBEAR}} I've pretty much gone through his life now. You are correct, he was never referred to as a Congregationalist. Also, I am a little more satisfied with the overall read of this article now. I was looking for an overall balance of the article. — Maile (talk) 18:34, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

:::I more or less did not actually. From what I've read, the denominations of the early American missionaries are really convoluted and no secondary sources seem to give a fair summary of the denominational difference since there were Congregationalist and Prebysterians adhering to Calvinistic teachings in these groups.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 07:21, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
