::maybe add "A White Paper on Bangladesh Economy report estimated that as much as $16 billion was siphoned off annually through money laundering during the AL regime. This amounts to over $240 billion in 15 years, a staggering figure that dwarfs the country’s total development budget." to the post premiership section with source 1 as reference.

::Then add "Presence of a large number of secret prison cells or Aynaghors during Sheikh hasina's 15 years was brought to the public eye by The Commission for Inquiry on Enforced Disappearance and was officially visited by chief adviser dr yunus with victims and press on 12/2/25" in post premiership with sources 2 as reference Arknights12 (talk) 12:00, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

:::Thank you {{ping|Arknights12}}!

:::* First sentence. I clicked on the source, opened the pdf, I did searches for usd, 240, 15 years and for billion, but I could not find the numbers that you describe in this sentence. Furthermore, you forgot to tell me exactly where in the article you would like to insert this sentence. I found the text in the fourth source. However, you have copypasted the text, and that is against our copyright rules. You need to rewrite these sentences in your own words. Lova Falk (talk) 12:52, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

:::*:First sentence -"A report titled "White Paper on State of Bangladesh Economy" published on December 1st, 2024, estimated that up to $16 billion was annually diverted through money laundering during Sheikh Hasina's tenure as Prime Minister from 2009 to 2024 . ::Aynaghar can just be written as Aynaghar. Do you maybe mean: Aynaghor? BTW I see in the article about aynaghar that they are not written with a capital letter, so the correct way would be aynaghor Lova Falk (talk) 15:25, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

:::Yeah Aynaghars is better. I haven't figured out the writing formats of wikipedia properly yet. News outlets regularly use Aynaghar with capital letter thats why it probably should be in capital. Please remove the " before chief advisor too.Arknights12 (talk) 15:44, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

Remove the word dictator. I pay Wikipedia and I want better outcome not fake news. Sheikh Hasina is my prime minister and I will not tolerate any misinformation about her. Look at Bangladesh now. Sheikh Hasina

Sheikh Hasina’s development for Bangladesh over the last few years has been amazing. The minority terrorist group in Bangladesh ruled by Dr. Yunus provides misinformation about sheikh Hasina and Awami League. Sheikh Hasina fought terrorism until her last day in office. Sheikh Hasina is not a dictator and the term must be removed from Wikipedia. I have donated to Wikipedia significantly in the past and such misinformation is simply unacceptable. I want all my money back if this page isn’t fixed. She is simple the former prime minister of Bangladesh and also the next prime minister. She is not a fugitive. I’m really upset at Wikipedia. 2601:5CC:C701:CA00:6D74:6498:610F:B47 (talk) 02:13, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

:While it's somewhat true that Yunus is becoming very controversial with Awami Ban and Myanmar thing (and some more since August), he isn't like as controversial as Hasnat or Sarjis. I was also shocked with the dictator and klepcrat (never heard that word before) thing given that this article is also high importance for women's history. Hasina's legacy will be better once the atrocities are not refreshed in momery (kinda like her father) but I don't think this is the time to fanboying her after the July incident. There was a sentence in this article that Hasina was menefestation of India's influence which also got removed just like the dictator kleptocrat thing. So, keep donating Wikipedia. Since we aren't contributing to improve this page, our comments will probably get removed. 37.111.213.54 (talk) 10:16, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Lead

I have removed the terms "kleptocrat" and "dictator" that were used to refer to Hasina in the 1st sentence of the article. Loaded terminology like this is absolutely inappropriate for the opening sentence of a BLP and should not be used without great caution and solid, reliable sourcing to back it up. If we are to characterize Hasina in this way we should not do so in Wikivoice in the opening sentence, but should instead only summarize who has referred to her with these terms (i.e., X or Y has described her as a dictator). :{{not done}}: I find it unnecessary to mention that she was the daughter of Rahman in the very 1st sentence of the article, given this is mentioned in the paragraph directly below. I did make one minor tweak to the wording of the second sentence (changing "regime" to "rule"), purely for grammatical reasons. I also have concerns about describing her premiership as 15 years of authoritarianism, especially given that the government became more authoritarian over time and was more democratic initially. But I'll wait for others to weigh in before making further changes. Day Creature (talk) 16:01, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
