I have removed the link to http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/visual_arts/article5174749.ece titled "Article on the "restaurant/club" art installation at Electrowerkz" as it requires paid registration to view.

Longest running nightclub- since when?

the part about how the club was named is confusing. Why was it named slimelight because it was held in a church? surely the more plausible explanation is because it was a parody of the Limelight club. Personally i've always been told that it was as a parody, but if anyone knows for definite, could they please correct the article.

Edited this page to correct the times they serve alcohol as the site states: "Yes we have a bar on each floor which serve alcohol untill 2am, then continue to serve soft drinks, tea & coffee untill 7.15am."

i added a note about the club being refered to as slimes. a [http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=slimelight+slimes&btnG=Google+Search search] shows up many results for this, although there arn't as many results for the other name i've heard quite often, "slime shite" ;) --MilkMiruku 14:07, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

There was a nose section of a plane down in the "smoking yard" when I visited on Saturday, 10 May 2008. Does anyone have any information as to what type of plane it comes from? : There is some good background [http://islingtonmetal.com/about.html on the venue's website], and on the [http://www.londonscrapmetal.com/hire.html venue's "other" website] -- it's a scrap metal recycling plant in the daytime! About a year ago, as a one-off, you could pay for entry to Slimelight (normally £5 for members, £8 for non-members) with a few kilos of unwanted power cables. It is unfortunate that the article was essentially blanked last November, as a number of news sources can now be found on the internet following the death of the club's founder, Mayuan Mak, in December. I don't blame the editor at all, it was done in good faith, and they can't be expected to have a crystal ball. It's just unfortunate.

Rather than restore any of the page as-is, I would suggest that the article be merged with the Electrowerkz article, as has been suggested in the past. It is I think impossible to separate the two, especially looking at the recent sources that have appeared.

I know it is unlikely any editors will see this, but I thought I would make this note on the talk page here before I look at the article history (to preserve the original text for re-writing and referencing) and the proper procedure for merging. H. Carver (talk) 23:47, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
