Channel 4 Alternative Christmas Message

I see that a link to the message itself, on YouTube, has been added as a reference. But that seems to be a WP:PRIMARY source for this claim. Would we not want some kind of secondary source(s) that would establish the notability of the broadcast? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:37, 31 January 2025 (UTC)

:There is a Variety reference at the end of the paragraph for the direct quote. newsjunkie (talk) 09:43, 31 January 2025 (UTC)

::There is quite a lot of coverage, including [https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/opinion-it-is-antisemites-who-dont-understand-irony/ Jewish News], [https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/entertainment/channel-4-alternative-christmas-message-2024/ Radio Times], [https://www.ladbible.com/news/uk-news/stephen-fry-christmas-message-israel-333069-20231225 Lad Bible] etc. etc. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:17, 31 January 2025 (UTC)

Transphobia?

Given that Fry was recently cancelled on Facebook (23rd April 2025), specifically on the Have a Gay Day page, for reputedly transphobic remarks and attitudes, should this area be researched and investigated for future inclusion in his Wiki article? I must confess to being shocked and surprised, not to mention disappointed, and hold out the fervent wish to discover his remarks have been taken out of context.

:I think the more pertinent questions are a) whether you want to research it, and b) if so, can you find coverage of the matter in reliable sources? DonIago (talk) 02:56, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

:Here's a piece in [https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/12/19/stephen-fry-criticises-stonewall-stance-trans-nonsensical/?msockid=1bf6dff90263629230deca2603ac63c8 The Telegraph] and one in [https://https://www.thepinknews.com/2024/12/20/stephen-fry-stonewall-trans-backlash/ PinkNews], but both from 2024.
