AfD result
AfD result was "merge". User:Fram keeps deleting the page, which violates the AfD result. noclador (talk) 09:51, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
:What is there left to merge? As far as I can see, nearly everything in the 1977 page is already in the 1975 page, with additional information (e.g. the previous name when something changed in the 1975 reform). The bits that are missing seem like excessive detail. So no further merge is needed, the information on the 1977 page is not lost but is present in the 1975 page already. If there is anything further you want to merge, then please do so instead of simply reverting. Fram (talk) 10:00, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
:: Your personal point of view is irrelevant here. What you consider "excessive detail" is your POV. If you want to be constructive then please merge these two pages line by line, and add the info from the one page to the other without your personal bias. If you insist on just blanking the page I will report you. noclador (talk) 10:07, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
:::I don't think you understand how a merge actually works. There is no requirement for it to be "line by line" as long as the relevant information is kept. Even then, yu are free to add more information from this article to the target article if you feel something is left out; the history of the redirect remains available, so this should be easy for you. Fram (talk) 10:09, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
:::: As you insist on merging, then you do the work - you have no right to demand others do the work you demand to be done. And if you're unwilling to do a proper merge yourself, then leave the page alone for other editors to merge the articles one day. Currnelty you are imposing your POV on wikipedia and robbing other editors of the chance to one day work on the merger your demanded, insisted and forced through. Please stop blanking pages. noclador (talk) 10:18, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
::::: No, that's not how it works. If "Merge" results in AfDs could be obviated by everyone with knowledge of the subject simply not doing it, then we'd have a problem. However, if there is information that has still not been merged six months since the AfD closed, then it's clearly not important enough anyway, and so the article should now be redirected, which I have done.
