Old discussion

If you cite something in this article to IAFD, why isn't her birthdate then cited from there also? It is given in IAFD as March 31, 1979. 85.217.50.216 (talk) 22:13, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

:Did you look at the Irish Independent cite which states that she started in porn at the age of 30 in 2008? That is inconsistent with a 1979 birthdate. Morbidthoughts (talk) 04:01, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

::And now there is more information which is inconsistent with that cite: She entered the British adult industry at the age of 33 in 2009. This would mean neither number in that citation would be right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.217.50.139 (talk) 03:21, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

:::As someone who knows her, none of the dates of birth listed above (including the 31 March bit) are correct.--Shylocksboy (talk) 04:13, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

::::The problem is that wikipedia has to rely on proper sources like newspapers and such and not someone's personal knowledge. Morbidthoughts (talk) 04:34, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

:::::Hmmm... Now they all match, strangely. "age of 30 in 2009" is in line with 1979. 85.217.50.139 (talk) 21:18, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

:::::: Morbidthoughts, may I call you Morbid? I know, which is why I haven't filled in the correct details.--Shylocksboy (talk) 23:45, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

:What's with the removal of her awards? Due to "remove pseudoaward bloat" Really? based on what? The Nightmoves Awards go back 20 years and are clearly established. The SHAFTA Awards are newer but maybe not big in America but definitely make an impact in the UK. Is this a case of someone trying to add more "pseudoawards" to their own wiki profile? MonstarXXX (talk) 17:43, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

  • Why her IAFD has gender=male in the end of the address? Had to add "fe" there to see the page correctly. I got "error '80020009'" & "/person.asp, line 489"... 82.141.118.63 (talk) 10:06, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

::This was apparently fixed a while ago. Guy1890 (talk) 00:49, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Paul Raymond award

This award is brand new, it had its first ceremony in 2013. So other than its being sponsored by a publisher that was started in 1964, little can be claimed or presumed about it. If it becomes notable, then it can have its own article, otherwise its just a Porn related reference for now. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... :Well, Paul Raymond is dead, and this "award" appears to be some kind of magazine-type award. You're likely going to need to find some reliable sources and/or notability for this kind of award before you'll be able to "uncontroversially" include it here in this article (or any other article for that matter). In any event, I've yet to see an article kept at AfD just because the subject won an award from a ceremony that didn't already have its own Wikipedia article. I guess there's always a first time, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting... Guy1890 (talk) 00:56, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

:I'm not debating the notability of the award, just the sourced inclusion of the information that Tate won the category she was nominated in. How can the notability of a brand new award even be discussed? Assuming Good Faith, User:Rebecca1990's sourced edit should be allowed to remain. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 01:12, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

::I disagree with the removal of any award from an article whether it is notable or not, it doesn't matter, the subject earned an award for their work and it is worthy of inclusion. But, it isn't something worth edit warring over and the removal and reinsertion of these awards has led to several articles being semi-protected. Rebecca1990 (talk) 22:08, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
