why does this redirect from Magi-tech?

There's no mention of that on the page GeorgeWL 1990 (talk) 19:33, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

:The page Magi-tech was [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Magi-tech&oldid=25043594 created] in 2005 and [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Magi-tech&diff=prev&oldid=200297352 redirected] to Science fantasy in 2008. The target was [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Magi-tech&diff=prev&oldid=959537289 changed] to Fictional technology in 2020. Fictional technology was in turn [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fictional_technology&diff=prev&oldid=1125178376 converted to a redirect] to Technology in science fiction in 2022 (following talk page discussion), and the double redirect from Magi-tech to Technology in science fiction via Fictional technology was [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Magi-tech&diff=prev&oldid=1125545016 turned into a one-step redirect] by a bot. ::Feels like it no longer makes sense then, to redirect to a article which doesn't mention the thing GeorgeWL 1990 (talk) 15:32, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

:::I agree. Two possible ways forward would be to either add something about magi-tech to the article or to bring Magi-tech to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion. TompaDompa (talk) 16:10, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

::::My first thought is to take the original article and remove the advert, and add it to here GeorgeWL 1990 (talk) 16:57, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::I'm not sure I understand quite what you mean, but that sounds like an idea. Anything you add would need to be properly sourced, however (what little mention there was at [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fictional_technology&oldid=1124611663 the old version] of fictional technology was not properly sourced).
