Hi GW Simulations, thanks for your edits. The reference I used: "Bernhard Hofmann-Wellenhof, Herbert Lichtenegger, Elmar Wasle, "GNSS – global navigation satellite systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo & more", SpringerWienNewYork 2008, p. 5." mentions
:"The Russian Tsikada (also written Cicada) system transmits..." [http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Np7y43HU_m8C&pg=PA5&lpg=PA5&dq=%22The+Russian+Tsikada+%28also+written+Cicada%29+system+transmits...%22&source=bl&ots=FdpC63KO97&sig=4wrBU0octM42qXplT6NlAjqXb5w&hl=en&sa=X&ei=IpLrTtnnNcSesAbqtd2IBw&ved=0CCIQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=%22The%20Russian%20Tsikada%20%28also%20written%20Cicada%29%20system%20transmits...%22&f=false]
That's why I thought it would be useful to indicate this. By the way, since you can apparently read Russian, you may confirm whether this wikilink may be relevant: ru:%D0%A6%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%B4%D0%B0_%28%D0%BD%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B3%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B8%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%8F_%D1%81%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%B0%29 (as mentioned here). I can't confirm this. Thanks again. --Edcolins (talk) 18:59, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
::I've never seen it written as Cicada. Cicada is the meaning of its name, but it is not its name - in the same way that we never call Soyuz "Union". I don't speak Russian, but I know a few words, and that article does look relevant. --GW… 09:54, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
:::Alright, thanks. I won't add this back. I have added the inter-wikilink meanwhile --Edcolins (talk) 10:36, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
