Signs of life 2014 March

http://www.twingalaxies.com and http://www.facebook.com/twingalaxies -- both indicate the site will be coming back up soon, probably sometime in April. --Shawn K. Quinn (talk) 21:04, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Twin Galaxies appears to be coming back, as announced on the official web site http://www.twingalaxies.com/

I would like to edit the second paragraph in the opening section to reflect this, something like:

"In late 2013, after more than 30 years as the preeminent record-keeper of video game world records, Twin Galaxies appeared to be defunct, with its website and record database no longer accessible. However, in late March 2014, Jace Hall announced that Twin Galaxies is in the process of being transferred to himself; describing efforts to revitalize the organization and addressing rumors."

::Seriously? How much more reliable than Twin Galaxies' own website do you want? --Shawn K. Quinn (talk) 05:39, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Major Section Changes

Please discuss major section changes here prior to continuing. Before removing information on the United States National Video Game Team, provide reasons why it should be removed from this article. That information has been here for years. Datagod (talk) 15:27, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Nuke

This article is in a sorry state. It's almost entirely sourced to posts from Twin Galaxies' website. Twin Galaxies hosting unlicensed copyrighted content is their own business but WP avoids linking to it whenever possible. (It doesn't help that all of those links are dead now.) If the content in this article does not have full citations (online or offline), it needs to be removed—full stop. If anyone is stewarding this article, now would be the time to do it, or otherwise you're looking at peeling the relevant texts out of the edit history to cite in the future. If anyone watching is affiliated with the website/postings (and based off of the history of TG-affiliated editors on WP, I imagine you're around, though you need also declare that affiliation), my recommendation would be to dump the fair use news clippings in a single database/folder so that others can verify the contents in the future, even if WP doesn't link it directly. Delete this page

It's very outdated and nothing about it makes any sense, not to mention its written entirely on their own website. What is the point of the page? It's not like anybody's fixing anything. 216.251.179.2 (talk) 19:39, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

Logo history

I think it would be interesting if we had a small section for the history of their logos and how they changed over time. That way this art doesn’t get lost to history 173.54.16.149 (talk) 13:40, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
