It appears that AASHO recognized US 99W as US 99 Alt. at some point: [http://books.google.com/books?num=100&id=7g8iAAAAMAAJ&dq=%22state+highway%22+mossdale&q=mossdale&pgis=1#search] Also note that it passed through Mossdale. This was probably one of the AASHO-proposed replacements from 1934; also note that SR 120 began at Manteca when it was first defined in 1934, probably for the same reason. --NE2 11:10, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
