{{DYK talk|22 May|2007|entry= ...that William Moore was the earliest settler of Skagway, the famous gold rush town in the Klondike Gold Rush?}}

Opening paragraph

Good choice for inclusion. Some dates need to be applied in the first paragraph in which it is written that Moore was involved in most of the gold rushes. Moore did not discover the White Pass trail. The Indians had been using it long before Moore arrived in the area. Soapy 12:58, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, good point and I clarified the dates in the introduction and the fact that Moore was guided up the Pass by Skookum Jim.CindyBo 17:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Captain Moore's citizenship

I have heard that Captain Moore's title was flawed because as a non citizen he was not eligible for the program under which he had homesteaded it. RichardBond (talk) 07:32, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
