Exocyclic double bonds
Excuse me, but I am unable to found them on these structure formulae in the example. Could anyone help me? Maybe the clearer description would improve the article :)

External links modified
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to {{plural:2|one external link|2 external links}} on Woodward's rules. Please take a moment to review [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=701032931 my edit]. If necessary, add {{tlx|cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{tlx|nobots|deny{{=}}InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20080410003845/http://www.chemistry.ccsu.edu:80/glagovich/teaching/316/uvvis/conjugated.html to http://www.chemistry.ccsu.edu/glagovich/teaching/316/uvvis/conjugated.html
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20080410041714/http://www.chemistry.ccsu.edu:80/glagovich/teaching/316/uvvis/diene.html to http://www.chemistry.ccsu.edu/glagovich/teaching/316/uvvis/diene.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

What about Scott rules?
Hi everyone,
during my studies we were also taught about Scott's rules, which predict the absorption maxima of aromatic systems. I unfortunately do not have good sources on these rules, but could someone please add them or make a new article on them? Aromatic systems are very important for dyes and in the UV range after all. 217.100.203.178 (talk) 19:26, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
