There "was" very clear controversy around his death, and this continues in the minds of his supporters, which should be noted in the introductory paragraph, as most readers do not read the whole article and will gain from just having another few words added to the sentence on his death - as there is no shortage of authoritative sources on the fact that there was controversy, and that sheds light on current events:

A recent edit introduced an error in the references list ({{TQ|"Definition of Arafat". dictionary.com. Random House. Retrieved 12 February 2023. Cite error: The named reference ":0" was defined multiple times with different content (see the help page).}})

I think removing the first (used in a footnote and not currently called elsewhere in the article) and changing the second to and its two callbacks from to (all three in subsection Fatah involvement in Lebanese Civil War, second to last paragraph) would fix the error and avoid future refname conflicts but without a preview it's hard to tell. Per the article's content on the cause of death investigations, the lead should not read:

"While the cause of Arafat's death has remained the subject of speculation, investigations by Russian and French teams determined no foul play was involved."

as this ignores the third investigation by the Swiss team which concluded the opposite. The conclusion of that investigation is definitively not "speculation". I suggest the following:

"The cause of Arafat's death remains the subject of speculation. Investigations by Russian and French scientific teams determined no foul play was involved, while a Swiss team concluded he was radiologically poisoned." Doeze (talk) 15:59, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
