Talk:Youtube.com/user/YouTube#URLs vs domain names

I know that the template {{tl|R from URL}} is currently an incorrect name for {{tl|R from domain name}}, but I've used it because the redirect is from a URL.

Currently, redirects like "[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=http://www.ebay.com&redirect=no http://www.ebay.com]" are categorized under the template {{tl|R from domain name}}, which is also incorrect.

There has even been a large number of redirects categorized under {{tl|R from URL}} or {{tl|R from url}}, which should have been categorized under {{tl|R from domain name}}. I've since cleaned them up. I am now focusing on properly categorizing redirects from URLs under {{tl|R from URL}}. Looking ahead, I was considering creating a separate template (on the page "Template:R from URL") specifically for redirects from URLs. Xoontor (talk) 18:14, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
