Tangalle Fort ({{langx|si|තංගල්ල බලකොටුව|translit=Tangalla Balakotuwa}}; {{langx|ta|தங்காலைக் கோட்டை|translit=Taṅkālaik Kōṭṭai}}) is a small Dutch fort located in the coastal town of Tangalle, Sri Lanka. The Dutch used Tangalle as an important anchorage on the southern coast of the island.

Tangalle fort differs from most other forts constructed by the Dutch, in that the fort has no massive ramparts. The four main walls, which are {{convert|12|m|abbr=on}} high, enclose a space similar to a rhombus, in height, in opposite corners of the structure. The fort was significantly altered by the British in the middle of the 19th century when it was converted into a prison. The British also used Tangalle as an anchorage. The fort is still being used as a prison by the Department of Prisons.{{cite news|url=http://www.ceylontoday.lk/64-34505-news-detail-colonial-forts-relics-of-old-time-warfare.html|title=Colonial Forts – relics of old time warfare|newspaper=Ceylon Today|date=9 June 2013|last=Fernando|first=Kishanie S.|accessdate=17 November 2014|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20150923224304/http://www.ceylontoday.lk/64-34505-news-detail-colonial-forts-relics-of-old-time-warfare.html|archivedate=23 September 2015}}{{cite news|url=http://archives.dailynews.lk/2012/05/24/fea31.asp|title=Dutch Forts in Sri Lanka|newspaper=The Daily News|last=Pieris|first=Kamalika|date=24 May 2012|accessdate=17 November 2014}}
