Professional wrestling career

Taniyama made her professional wrestling debut in All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling at a house show promoted on October 7, 1994, where she teamed up with Naomi Kato in a losing effort against Misae Watanabe and Emi Miyamoto in a tag team match.{{cite web|url=http://quebrada.net/videos/AJW2.html|title=AJW Mariko Yoshida Re-Challenge 7 Match!! Taniyama shared a three-year tenure with Ice Ribbon. Taniyama shared a thirteen-year tenure with JWP Joshi Puroresu, promotion in which she competed as a freelancer.
