Tanzhou is a town situated at the southern extremity of the prefecture-level city of Zhongshan, Guangdong province. At the 2020 census, the population of Tanzhou was 382,445. The total area of the town is {{convert|136|km2}}. Tanzhou is within {{convert|10|km|abbr=on}} northwest of the border with Macau and borders Zhuhai to the south and east; it is thus much closer to central Zhuhai than central Zhongshan.
