Taplitumomab paptox is a mouse monoclonal antibody. The antibody itself, taplitumomab, is linked to the protein PAP, an antiviral from Phytolacca americana, a species of pokeweed.[https://web.archive.org/web/20091016220039/http://whqlibdoc.who.int/druginfo/INN_2001_list46.pdf WHO Drug Information] This is reflected by the 'paptox' in the drug's name.
