The Tarakai or Taraki ({{langx|ps|تره کي}}) is a Ghilzai{{cite book|last=García Ayuso|first=Francisco|title=El Afghanistan|year=1878|publisher=R. Labajos|location=Madrid|page=99|url=http://bibliotecadigitalhispanica.bne.es/webclient/DeliveryManager?pid=1843199&custom_att_2=simple_viewer}} Pashtun tribe; mainly found in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan and the large number of population of Tarakai tribe is now settled in Pakistan, mainly in Quetta, Pishin, Zhob, Loralai, Duki, Sherani of Balochistan, Swabi of Khyber Pashtunkhwa and other major cities of Pakistan. The tribe is further extended into several major clans/tribes: BadinKhel, NaKhel, SaakKhel, FerozKhel, TaswelKhel, GurbizKhel. These tribes are further divided into more sub-tribes within the above-mentioned clans/tribes.
